I remember the first time we encountered a Patalchu. Me and the other village kids weren't really venturing deep - Lui insisted he knew a safe way to get through. We turned a new path and there it was. I spotted it first, luckily, and got everybody to stop before we got too close. I had no idea what these things were capable of at the time (I learned later that they pack a good punch). As we managed to calmly retreat to the forest extrance, I caught a glance of a pair of eyes watching us from atop the old ruins. Master Koris nodded at me with a look of, what I'm hoping was, approval. I thought, maybe it was time to really consider my future as a Cocoon Master rather than just another trespassing child...
