Hubris

Pataimel are numerous in the Beetle Forest. Like most of my peers, I'd seen a good few growing up on enlightening (albeit prohibited) visits into the forest as a youth. Although Pataimel are feisty and keen to start a fight, they aren't particularly tough and I'm quite convinced I could easily take one down with just a knife. I think their foolhardy attempts to challenge any trespassers to be quite concerning, though. Could it be that, in defeat, they are still learning something? My suspicion is that they work with some sort of hive-mind as a eusocial species like the hymenoptera that they resemble. This being said, there is a good chance that the Divine Beasts in general communicate between themselves in a more complicated way than we are able to imagine.
